What is the prognosis or life expectancy for people diagnosed with melorheostosis?

After searching the information resources available to us, we did not find any sources stating that individuals with melorheostosis have a reduced life expectancy. The severity of this condition varies among affected individuals. The Melorheostosis Association Web site states, "Due to its rarity and the lack of effective treatment options, long-term prognosis cannot be accurately predicted."[1]
