Your QuestionHow quickly do desmoid tumors typically progress? Is five months a significant period of time with regard to the growth of such a tumor?
We have identified the following information that we hope you find helpful. If you still have questions, please contact us.
Desmoid tumors are known to have unpredictable growth rates. Some desmoid tumors may grow quickly; others may remain the same size over long periods of time. It is estimated that approximately 15% of desmoid tumors may spontaneously shrink over time. Unfortunately, after an extensive review of the resources available to us, we were unable to find an estimate of the average length of time needed for a desmoid tumor to develop.
